If you can’t get rid of the family skeleton you may as well make it dance”
George Bernard Shaw
San Diego House Of Scotland Tartan Day
What a great day! This event gets bigger and better every year! Though it it hard work leading up to the event it is wonderful to see everyone having such a good time. I was at the Genealogy/”Wee Ones Highland Games” booth.

Dance with the Skeletons
Every family has skeletons but don’t shy away,
Their tale’s like no other unless YOU keep it at bay.
When you first meet one it may cause a shock,
For there’s no black sheep in OUR perfect flock!
But dance with the Skeletons, don’t be afraid,
There’s nothing to worry for the piper’s been paid.
I can promise a Wallflower the Skeleton won’t be,
For their dance through life had a certain esprit.
You’ll waltz in dark shadows where the music is low,
But the knowledge of light will certainly glow.
They’ll excite you and temp you, have you searching for more,
While taking you places the faint truly abhor.
When the dancing is over, the last note has been played,
Tip your hat to the Skeleton even though they have strayed.
Though their dance didn’t follow the conforming same tune,
We’ve all had things happen, we are not immune.
Don’t be surprised by the judgments of many,
For they have yet to admit their closets have plenty!
